Return Policy

At Kneeawashau, we want every member and customer to be satisfied with their walking club experience and product purchases. This Return Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations are handled for all products and services offered through kneeawashau.world, including the Essential Walker Membership, Guided City Walk Pass, and Premium Trail Kit Bundle.

1. General Return Principles

Kneeawashau is committed to fair and transparent return practices. Because our offerings include both physical products and service-based memberships and walk passes, return eligibility varies by product type. All return requests must be initiated within the timeframes specified below and submitted through our contact form at kneeawashau.world or by contacting us directly at 136 W 87th St, New York, NY 10024, United States, phone +16467895612, or contact@kneeawashau.world.

2. Premium Trail Kit Bundle Returns

The Premium Trail Kit Bundle ($79.99) includes physical items: a 750ml insulated water bottle, reflective arm bands, a compact route map folio, and moisture-wicking walk socks. Physical products may be returned within 30 days of delivery provided they are unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition. Items showing signs of use, damage caused by the customer, or missing components from the bundle are not eligible for return.

To initiate a return for the Premium Trail Kit Bundle, contact Kneeawashau with your order confirmation number and reason for return. We will provide a return shipping address and return authorization number. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a defective product or shipping error on our part. Upon receipt and inspection of returned items, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Defective items within the Premium Trail Kit Bundle will be replaced at no additional cost. Report defects within 14 days of delivery with photographic evidence of the defect. We will ship a replacement item within 5 business days of verifying the claim. If a replacement is not available, a full refund will be issued for the defective item or the entire bundle at the customer's preference.

3. Guided City Walk Pass Refunds

The Guided City Walk Pass ($49.99) provides five redeemable sessions for guided urban walks, valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Because this product is a service-based pass, refund eligibility depends on usage status at the time of the refund request.

Full refund: Available if no sessions have been redeemed and the refund request is made within 14 days of purchase. Partial refund: If one or two sessions have been redeemed, a prorated refund based on unused sessions may be issued at our discretion, calculated as the purchase price minus the value of redeemed sessions at $12.00 per session. No refund: Available if three or more sessions have been redeemed, if the 90-day validity period has expired, or if the refund request is made more than 60 days after purchase.

Walk passes may be transferred to another person one time with prior written notice to Kneeawashau at least 48 hours before the next scheduled walk. Transferred passes are not eligible for refund after the transfer is processed.

4. Essential Walker Membership Cancellations

The Essential Walker Membership ($24.99/month) is a recurring subscription that provides two guided walks per month, digital route library access, and a welcome orientation. Members may cancel their subscription at any time by contacting Kneeawashau or submitting a cancellation request through our contact form.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial-month refunds are provided for unused walks within the current billing period. If you cancel within 7 days of your initial subscription and have not attended any guided walks, you are eligible for a full refund of the first month's payment. After attending one or more walks or after the 7-day window, the current month's fee is non-refundable.

Membership pauses as described on our club-membership.html page are not considered cancellations and do not trigger refunds. During a pause, billing is suspended and walk allocations are frozen until the membership is reactivated.

5. Trailblazer and Summit Membership Returns

Trailblazer and Summit membership tiers follow the same cancellation principles as the Essential Walker Membership with the following additions. Annual prepaid memberships may be cancelled within 30 days of purchase for a full refund if no guided walks have been attended and no guest passes have been used. After 30 days or after using any membership benefit, annual memberships are non-refundable but may be cancelled to prevent future renewal.

Guest passes included with Trailblazer and Summit tiers are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued. Unused guest passes expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not carry over unless explicitly stated in a promotional offer.

6. Corporate Group Package Returns

Corporate group walking packages arranged through Kneeawashau are subject to separate contractual terms agreed upon at the time of booking. Standard corporate packages may be rescheduled with at least 14 days notice at no charge. Cancellations made with fewer than 14 days notice may incur a fee of up to 50% of the package price. Full refunds for corporate packages are available if cancellation is requested at least 30 days before the scheduled event date.

7. Walk Cancellation by Kneeawashau

If Kneeawashau cancels a scheduled guided walk due to severe weather, safety concerns, coordinator unavailability, or insufficient registration, affected participants will be offered one of the following remedies at their choice: rescheduling to the next available date for the same route, credit for one session added to a Guided City Walk Pass, or a prorated refund for the cancelled session if purchased individually. We will make every effort to notify participants at least 4 hours before the scheduled walk start time.

8. Exchange Policy

Exchanges are available for Premium Trail Kit Bundle items of equal value when the requested exchange item is in stock. Size exchanges for walk socks are available within 30 days of delivery if the socks are unworn and in original packaging. Exchanges for different products or upgrades require returning the original item and placing a new order, with any price difference charged or refunded accordingly.

9. Non-Returnable Items and Services

The following are not eligible for return or refund under any circumstances: completed guided walk sessions, digital route library access after login credentials have been issued, seasonal event tickets after the event has occurred, personalized or custom-branded gear items, and products purchased during final sale promotions clearly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase.

10. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of return approval or cancellation confirmation. Bank processing times may add an additional 3 to 5 business days before the refund appears in your account. Kneeawashau will send email confirmation when a refund has been initiated. If you do not receive your refund within 15 business days of approval, contact us immediately for investigation.

11. Damaged or Incorrect Shipments

If your Premium Trail Kit Bundle arrives damaged or contains incorrect items, contact Kneeawashau within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the damage or incorrect items. We will arrange for a replacement shipment at no additional cost or issue a full refund at your preference. Please retain all original packaging materials for damaged shipment claims as they may be required by the shipping carrier during investigation.

12. Dispute Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with the resolution of a return or refund request, contact our customer support team for escalation review. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached, you may pursue remedies available under applicable New York state consumer protection laws. Initiating a payment chargeback without first contacting Kneeawashau to resolve the issue may result in suspension of membership privileges.
